The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team lost a pair of Region 16 games 7-1 and 9-8 in a back-and-forth contest in game two to St. Louis Community College on Saturday, March 28 in St. Louis, Mo.

St. Louis, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team lost a pair of Region 16 games 7-1 and 9-8 in a back-and-forth contest in game two to St. Louis Community College on Saturday, March 28 in St. Louis, Mo.
In game one, SFCC (12-20, 5-13 in Region 16) recorded just four hits as a team. Catcher Carter Rice of Sedalia, Mo. contributed a double. Middle infielder Dayton Doll of Platte County, Mo. had a hit and scored the only run for SFCC. First baseman Grayson Harris of Independence, Mo. and utility player Casen Lett of Parkville, Mo. had one hit each for SFCC. Outfielder Devin Wassmann of Platte City, Mo. drove in the only run of the game for SFCC.
Pitcher Jacob Tellman of Jefferson City, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Tellman pitched four innings, gave up seven runs (six earned runs) on seven hits, struck out six, and walked two.
In game two, corner infielder Andrew Hill of Columbia, Mo. led SFCC with four hits including a double, two RBIs, and a run scored. Utility player Malachi Antle of Licking, Mo. contributed three hits, two RBIs, and a run scored. Wassmann hit a home run, drove in two runs, and scored two runs. Carter Rice had a pair of hits and scored a run.
As a team, SFCC put together 12 hits. However, the Roadrunners also committed five errors in the game.
Pitcher Hunter Jones of Branson, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Jones pitched 5 1/3 innings, gave up five runs (four earned runs) on five hits, struck out six, and walked two.
