Roadrunners drop a pair of games to Frontier Community College
Sedalia, Mo. The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader to Frontier Community College 16-8 in game one and 6-4 in game two on Thursday, Feb. 19 at Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field.

Sedalia, Mo. The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader to Frontier Community College 16-8 in game one and 6-4 in game two on Thursday, Feb. 19 at Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field.
In game one, SFCC (3-5) put together eight hits. Utility player Malachi Antle of Licking, Mo. led the SFCC offense with a home run and a double. Antle also contributed three runs scored and two RBIs. Middle infielder Dayton Doll of Platte County, Mo. also had a pair of hits including a solo home run. Infielder Connor Rice of Sedalia, Mo. had a pair of hits including a home run, three RBIs and a run scored. Outfielder Collin Ross of Branson, Mo. scored a pair of runs. Outfielder Devin Wassmann of Platte City, Mo. hit a double and drove in two runs.
Pitcher Jacob Tellman of Jefferson City, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Tellman pitched 1 2/3 innings, gave up 10 runs, nine earned runs, on four hits, struck out three and walked three. He gave up three home runs in the game. Tellman was given the pitching loss.
In game two, the SFCC offense totaled six hits. Catcher Albert Salguera of Caracas, Venezuela hit a pair of home runs. Doll had three hits including another home run, two runs scored and an RBI. Antle drove in a run.
Pitcher Tanner Patterson of Iberia, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Patterson pitched six innings, gave up five runs, four earned, eight hits, and struck out nine. Patterson allowed two home runs in the game and was given the pitching loss.
SFCC will return to action on Friday, Feb.20 in another doubleheader against Frontier Community College to finish the four-game series. First pitch from Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field scheduled for 11 a.m.
