Roadrunners split with Dallas College North Lake
Lancaster, Texas -The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team wrapped up their four-game road trip in Texas splitting a pair of games with Dallas College North Lake on Sunday, Feb.15 in Lancaster, Texas.

Lancaster, Texas -The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team wrapped up their four-game road trip in Texas splitting a pair of games with Dallas College North Lake on Sunday, Feb.15 in Lancaster, Texas. SFCC lost the first game of the doubleheader 4-2 before bouncing back to win the second game 7-2.
In game one, the SFCC offense produced four hits. Utility player Casen Lett of Parkville, Mo. tripled, drove in a run and scored a run to lead the SFCC offense. Middle infielder Dayton Doll of Platte County, Mo, had a hit and drove in a run. Outfielder Collin Ross of Branson, Mo. added a hit. Utility player Malachi Antle of Licking, Mo. had a hit and scored a run.
Hunter Jones of Branson, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Jones pitched four innings, gave up one run on two hits, struck out three and walked four. Carter Hollingsworth of St Peters, Mo. (0-2) pitched two innings out of the bullpen. He gave up three hits, three unearned runs and struck out two. Hollingsworth was given the pitching loss.
In game two, the SFCC (2-3) offense put together 14 hits. Catcher Rice had three hits and a run scored to lead the SFCC offense. Doll had a pair of hits including a double and two RBIs. Devin Wassmann of Platte City, Mo. had a pair of hits and an RBI. Infielder Connor Rice of Sedalia, Mo. added a pair of hits and a run scored. Ross doubled and drove in a pair of runs. Antle and corner infielder Andrew Hill of Columbia, Mo. had a double each. Antle drove in a run. Outfielder Jacob Bell of Kansas City, Mo. also drove in a run.
Pitcher Evan Bishop (1-0) of Boonville, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Bishop pitched six innings, gave up two runs on five hits, struck out seven and walked three to record the victory. Mason Kates came out of the bullpen to pitch one inning, gave up one hit, and struck out one to finish the game.
SFCC will return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 17 with a single game against Highland Community College-Kansas. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. from Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field.
