Lady Roadrunners bring home six top eight finishes from UCM
Warrensburg, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners track and field team continued their outdoor campaign at the UCM Invitational on Friday, March 20 in Warrensburg, Mo.
Warrensburg, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners track and field team continued their outdoor campaign at the UCM Invitational on Friday, March 20 in Warrensburg, Mo. The event took place at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field.
Sophomore Jocelyn Nunez of Independence, Mo. finished second in the long jump with a jump of 5.21 meters.
The Lady Roadrunners 4 x 100m A relay teams finished second with a time of 49.25.
Sophomore Laiysha Freeman of Kansas City, Mo. finished third in the long jump with a jump of 5.07 meters.
Freshman Vivian Barton of Savannah, Mo. finished third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59.39.
Freshman Anjyu McKee of Warrensburg, Mo finished fifth in 100-meter dash in a time of 12.75.
Freshman Samantha Podorski of Jefferson City, Mo. finished eighth in the high jump with a jump of 1.33 meters.
"We had a lot of great performances," said head coach Brad Hagedorn. "Our sprint group loved the warmer weather, many of them had career bests. We will continue to build on the momentum we have created in the last two weeks. We have a big test next weekend at SBU. Hopefully, we will hold up and compete well against some great competition."
SFCC will return to action on Saturday, March 28 at Southwest Baptist University.
