Maryville, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners track and field team brought home one individual event title from the Coach Richard Alsup Open hosted by Northwest Missouri State University on Saturday, Jan. 17. inside the Carl and Cheryl Hughes Fieldhouse in Maryville, Mo.
Freshman Callie McWilliams of Shelbina, Mo. captured her second consecutive individual title in the triple jump with a jump of 11.78 meters.
"We faced our toughest competition of the season," said head coach Brad Hagedorn. "We had a bounce back from our performances last weekend in Cape Girardeau. I felt that what we saw at Northwest was more indicative of what our team is capable of. This is important because our season does not get easier as we travel to Pitt State next weekend."
SFCC will return to action on Friday, Jan. 30 at the Washburn Open in Topeka, Kan.
