"This week was challenging," said head coach Sarah Manuel. "Our skeet scores didn't reflect what we have the potential to do. They came back in American trap and did really well for sporting clays as well. They got their nerves under control, unfortunately it happened sometimes. I was very proud of both Lucy Crocker and Ava Chevalier for their individual placings. Zoey Wilson took fourth place in her division for American trap. She is a first-time shooter at that level, and it was impressive to see. It's a very long tournament. I'm thankful for the sophomores who showed poise and leadership."
SFCC also had student-athletes honored for their academic performance. The student-athletes have to have a 3.8 or higher-grade point average to receive this recognition. Ava Chevalier, Ben Wieland, Buzz Harris, Logan Pinkham, Mitchell O'Reilly, and Zoey Wilson all received recognition for their work in the classroom.
