Roadrunners claim fourth consecutive Region Championship
Festus, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men’s cross country team won another Region 16 Division II Cross Country Championship sweeping the top six places in the race at Larry G. Crites Memorial Park in Festus, Mo. on Friday Oct. 24.

Freshman Carter Moss of Centralia, Mo. captured the individual championship covering the 8K course in a time of 26:55.31.
Freshman Hayden Krentz of Hamilton, Mo. placed second with a time of 29:21.11.
Freshman John Kuntze of Odessa, Mo. put together a time of 29:48.51 to bring home a third-place finish.
Sophomore Adam Broekemeier of Edwardsville, Ill. contributed a fourth-place finish with a time of 29:59.52.
Freshman Ryland Woolery of Sedalia, Mo. stormed home with a fifth-place finish at 30:04.79.
Freshman Owen Weatherspoon of Lawson, Mo. finished sixth with a time of 30:26.76.
Three other Roadrunners finished in the top 15 at the event. Freshman Sam Tagtmeyer of Sedalia, Mo. finished 10th with a time of 32:12.76. Freshman Noah Sill of Columbia, Mo. finished 12th with a time of 32:50.46. Freshman Juan Matacua-Ubaldo of Sedalia, Mo. placed 14th in a time of 35:19.63.
"The conditions were great; the temperature was cool and the rain held off, making for some ideal conditions," said co- head coach Kellin Loch. "We ran against all the teams in the region across the three divisions we got to see some good competition and athletes that pushed us at the meet, especially from Crowder. The men's team swept the meet within our division. Ryland Woolery also ran a notable race with his season debut in the postseason, running a time of 30:04, proving himself, and securing a spot in our top seven and a chance to run at the national meet."
Moss, Krentz, Kuntze, Broekemeier and Woolery earned All-Region 16 honors for SFCC. SFCC will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 8 at the NJCAA National Championships.
