Moss leads Roadrunners at Brian T. Simpson Invitational
Columbia, Mo.-The State Fair Community College Roadrunners men’s cross country team placed ninth at the Brian T. Simpson Invitational hosted by the University of Central Missouri in Columbia, Mo. at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course on Saturday, Oct.11.

Freshman Carter Moss of Centralia, Mo. covered the 8K course in a time of 26:59.25 to finish 16th, the best finish for SFCC on the day. Freshman Hayden Krentz of Hamilton, Missouri clocked in with a time of 29:41.56 to place 98th. Freshman Sam Tagtmeyer of Sedalia, Missouri posted a time of 29:43.63 to finish 99th. Sophomore Adam Broekemeier of Edwardsville, Illinois added a time of 30:26.87 to place 110th. Freshman John Kuntze of Odessa, Missouri rounded out the top five for SFCC on the day with a time of 30:37.16 to place 114th.
Freshman Owen Weatherspoon of Lawson, Mo. ran a time of 31:43.83 to finish 123rd. Freshman Noah Sill of Columbia, Mo. added a time of 32:48.05 to place 127th. Freshman Juan Matacua-Ubaldo of Sedalia, Mo. contributed a time of 35:00.94 to finish 129th.
"We saw personal bests from a few of our men, including Sam Tagtmeyer, Noah Sill, Hayden Krentz, and Carter Moss," said co-head coach Kellin Loch. "Our gentleman that did not PR put up times that were on par with their best, so for a course that ended up being a little long, we are not too upset."
The Roadrunners will return to action on Friday, Oct.24 at the Region 16 Cross Country Championships.
