"The majority of our practices are early in the morning and while this keeps the athletes cool at practice, the downside is that we're not quite ready and acclimated to the heat when it comes to racing in the afternoons," said co-head coach Kellin Loch. "But, while the heat may have gotten the best of the men and the times may not have been what they wanted, they still made sure to give it their all when crossing the finish line, proving their toughness and resiliency."
The Roadrunners will return to action Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Simpson Invitational hosted by the University of Central Missouri at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo.
