Roadrunners compete in postseason
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) men’s golf team had a pair of individuals compete in the Region 16 and District Two Championship hosted by Mineral Area College at Bogey Creek Golf Course on Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 29 in Farmington, Mo.
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) men's golf team had a pair of individuals compete in the Region 16 and District Two Championship hosted by Mineral Area College at Bogey Creek Golf Course on Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 29 in Farmington, Mo. The weather would only allow one round to be completed on Tuesday with the rest of the event being played on Wednesday.
Samuel Verbovschuk recorded the best finish at the event. Verbovschuk finished in a tie for 30th. He shot an opening round 81, followed by an 82 in the second round. Verbovschuk shot an 80 in the third and final round for a total score of 243.
Isaiah Cairer scored 79 in the opening round, which was the best round shot by SFCC at the event. Cairer shot an 85 in round two. He shot an 82 in the third and final round to finish in a tie for 32nd with a total score of 246.
