Roadrunners finish regular season
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners golf team finished 13th as a team at the Fremont Hills Classic.
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners golf team finished 13th as a team at the Fremont Hills Classic. The 54-hole event was played at the Fremont Hills Golf Course in Nixa, Mo. on Monday, April 13 and Tuesday, April 14. Evangel University hosted the tournament.
SFCC shot a 359 as a team the opening round. They followed that up with a 374 in the second round. The Roadrunners shot their best round as a team with a 357 in the third and final round, for a team total of 1,090.
Samuel Verbovschuk recorded the best finish for SFCC. Verbovschuk shot an opening round 76. He followed that up with an 82. Verbovschuk scored an 80 in the final round for total score of 238 to finish in a tie for 46th.
Isaiah Cairer shot an 81 in the opening round. Cairer carded a 92 in the second round. He shot an 82 in the final round for total score of 255 to finish 61st at the event.
Lucas Mason shot an opening round 97. Mason scored 98 in round two. He shot 92 in the final round for a total score of 287 to finish 69th.
Lucas Alfrey shot a 105 in the opening round. Alfrey shot a 102 in the second round. He scored a 103 in the final round for total score of 310 to finish 72nd.
The Roadrunners will return to action in the Region 16 Championship & District 2 Championship on Tuesday, April 28 and Wednesday, April 29.
