Cairer leads SFCC at Mineral Area
Farmington, Mo, -The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men’s golf team finished seventh as a team at the Mineral Area College Spring Invitational on Thursday, March 12.
Farmington, Mo, -The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men's golf team finished seventh as a team at the Mineral Area College Spring Invitational on Thursday, March 12. The 36-hole event was played at the Crown Pointe Golf Club in Farmington, Mo. As a team, SFCC shot 361 in round one and a 370 in the final round for a total team score of 731.
Isaiah Cairer recorded the best finish for SFCC. Cairer shot an 80 in the opening round. He followed that up with an 82 in round two for a total score of 162 to finish tied for 23rd.
Samuel Verbovschuk shot an opening round 87. He shot 82 in the second round for a total score of 169 to finish in a tie for 32nd.
Lucas Mason shot 96 in the opening round. He followed that up with a 95 in round two for a total score of 191 to finish 36th.
Lucas Alfrey shot a 98 in the opening round and a 111 in the final round for total score of 209 to finish 37th.
SFCC will return to action on Friday, March 20 in Maryville, Mo. for a match against North Central and Southwestern Community College.
