Roadrunners open spring season
The SFCC men’s golf team finished 17th as a team with a team score of 768.
The SFCC men's golf team finished 17th as a team with a team score of 768. SFCC shot a team score of 397 in the opening round and 371 in round two at the Columbia College Spring Invitational. The tournament took place at the Columbia Country Club on March 9-10.
Samuel Verbovschuk recorded the best finish for the team at the event. Verbovschuk shot an 85 in the opening round. He followed that up with an 84 in the final round of the 36-hole event for total score of 169 to finish tied for 61st.
Lucas Mason shot 95 in the opening round and 101 in round two to finish 80th with a total score of 196.
Lucas Alfrey shot 111 in the opening round and 99 in the final round for total score of 210. He finished 82nd.
Shane Meyer shot 106 in the first round. Isaiah Cairer shot 87 in round two.
SFCC will return to action on Thursday, March 12 at the Bogey Creek Spring Invitational.
