Roadrunners finish fall campaign

Hartsburg, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men's golf team finished 11^th as a team at the Eagle Knoll Open hosted by William Woods University at the Eagle Knoll Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 27-28.

As a team, SFCC shot 342 in the opening round. They lowered their team score to 334 in round two for total score of 676.

Samuel Verbovschuk led the way for SFCC with a score of 76 in the opening round and a 78 in the second round for a total score of 154 to finish in a tie for 22^nd.

Freshman Spencer Godwin scored 86 in round one and an 84 in the final round for a total score of 172 to place 53^rd.

Freshman Isaiah Cairer contributed an 88 in round one and lowered his score to 83 in round two for a total score of 171. Cairer finished in a tie for 54^th at the event.

Freshman Lucas Mason scored 92 in the opening round and 89 in the final round for a total score of 181 to finish in a tie for 60^th at the tournament.

Freshman Shane Meyer shot a 94 in the opening round and followed that up with a 99 in the final round for a total score of 193 to finish 72^nd.

SFCC will return to action in the spring.
