Lincoln, Neb.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners men's basketball team dropped a 95-74 decision to Southeast Community College on Tuesday, Dec. 2 in Lincoln, Neb.
SFCC (9-6) led 4-3 with less than 16 minutes to go in the opening half. Southeast took a 20-11 with about 10 minutes left until halftime.
SFCC trailed 42-31 at halftime. Southeast made the plays in the second half to secure the victory.
As a team, SFCC shot 32% from the field and 76% from the free-throw line.
Freshman wing JP Ndong of Germany / Senegal led SFCC in scoring with 16 points off the bench including a perfect 10 of 10 from the free-throw line. Sophomore forward Malick Ndiaye of Dallas, Texas registered a double-double with 14 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. Freshman guard Damian Dirden of Denver, Colo. and sophomore forward Ibraheem Sylla of Denver, Colo. tied for the team lead in assists with two. Dirden and Ndong tied for the team lead in steals with two.
SFCC will return to action on Thursday, Dec. 4 with a road game against Olney Central College. Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
