Neosho, Mo.-The State Fair (SFCC) Community College Roadrunners baseball team lost a pair of games to Crowder College. SFCC fell 17-0 in five innings because of the run rule on Friday, May 1. SFCC lost 11-1 in five innings in the second game of the Region 16 Sub Regional series on Saturday, May 2 in Neosho, Mo.
in game one, the SFCC (25-31) offense was held to two hits. Outfielder Collin Ross of Branson, Mo. recorded one hit. Outfielder Drake Odneal of Smithville recorded the other hit for the Roadrunners.
Pitcher Hunter Jones of Branson, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Jones pitched 2 1/3 innings, gave up 10 runs on seven hits, struck out two, and walked three.
In game two, the SFCC offense was held to four hits, including a home run from catcher Carter Rice of Sedalia, Mo. Infielder Connor Rice of Sedalia, Mo., outfielder Devin Wassmann of Platte City, Mo., and Ross also had a hit each in the game.
Pitcher Jake Riggin of Lee's Summit, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Riggin pitched four innings and allowed six runs.
