Roadrunners drop a pair of games to St. Charles
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team fell in game one of a Region 16 doubleheader to St. Charles Community College 8-0.

The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team fell in game one of a Region 16 doubleheader to St. Charles Community College 8-0. SFCC followed that up with a 10-5 loss in game two on March 19 at Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field in Sedalia.
In game one, the SFCC offense was held to just six hits. Middle infielder Christian Kuchta of Liberty, Mo. had a pair of hits including a double. Utility player Malachi Antle of Licking, Mo. also recorded a double along with outfielder Drake Odneal of Smithville, Mo.
Pitcher Jacob Tellman of Jefferson City, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Tellman pitched five innings and gave up six runs on seven hits. Tellman struck out four.
In game two, Antle contributed a pair of hits including a double and two RBIs. Catcher Carter Rice of Sedalia, Mo. hit a home run and drove in two runs. Middle infielder Ty Hall of Greene City, Mo. drove in a run. The SFCC offense produced seven hits in the game.
Pitcher Hunter Jones of Branson, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Jones pitched three innings, gave up six runs, three earned runs on four hits. Jones struck out four and walked six.
SFCC (10-17, 4-10 in Region 16) will return to action on Saturday, March 21 in another Region 16 doubleheader at St. Charles Community College. First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m.
