Roadrunners lose a pair of games to Metropolitan Community College
Sedalia, Mo.- The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team dropped a pair of Region 16 contests to Metropolitan Community College 10-3 in game one and 7-6 in game two on Saturday, March 14 at Liberty Park Stadium Dey Field.

Sedalia, Mo.- The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team dropped a pair of Region 16 contests to Metropolitan Community College 10-3 in game one and 7-6 in game two on Saturday, March 14 at Liberty Park Stadium Dey Field.
SFCC (10-15, 4-8 in Region 16) was held to just five hits in the opening game. Outfielder Collin Ross of Branson, Mo. had a double and a home run for SFCC. He also drove in three runs and scored one. Catcher Sam Jost of St Charles, Mo. added a double and a run scored. Middle infielder Christian Kuchta of Liberty, Mo. also scored a run. Utility player Malachi Antle of Licking, Mo. and outfielder Devin Wassmann of Platte City, Mo. provided a hit each.
Pitcher Tanner Patterson of Iberia, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Patterson pitched 5 2/3 innings, gave up six runs five earned, on nine hits, and struck out three.
In game two, the SFCC offense was held to just five hits. Wassmann hit a home run. Kuchta drove in three runs. Jost scored twice.
Pitcher Evan Bishop Boonville, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Bishop pitched six innings, gave up three runs two earned, on six hits, struck out seven, and walked one.
SFCC will return to action on Tuesday, March 17 for a single game against Allen County Community College. First pitch from Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field is scheduled for 1 p.m.
