Roadrunners split with Three Rivers
Sedalia, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team split a pair of games with Three Rivers College on Saturday, March 7 at Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field.

Sedalia, Mo.-The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners baseball team split a pair of games with Three Rivers College on Saturday, March 7 at Liberty Park Stadium-Dey Field. SFCC (8-10, 3-3 in Region 16) lost the first game 4-0 before fighting back to win game two with eight runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to win 12-11.
In game one, the SFCC offense was held to just two hits. Outfielder Devin Wassmann of Platte City, Mo. recorded a double. Utility player Malachi Antle of Licking, Mo. provided the other hit for SFCC.
Pitcher Jacob Tellman of Jefferson City, Mo. got the start on the mound for SFCC. Tellman pitched 5 1/3 innings, gave up four runs on eight hits, and struck out eight. He was given the pitching loss.
In game two the Roadrunners got the offense going. SFCC produced 12 hits as a team. Middle infielder Christian Kuchta of Liberty Mo. had a pair of hits to go along with three RBIs and two runs scored. Antle also had a pair of hits. Wassmann contributed two hits and two runs scored. Catcher Albert Salguera of Caracas, Venezuela also had two hits and two RBIs. Middle infielder Ty Hall of Greene City, Mo. had two hits including a double and two runs scored. Utility player Casen Lett of Parkville, Mo. doubled and scored twice.
Pitcher Hunter Jones of Branson, Mo. started the game on the mound for SFCC. Jones pitched three innings and gave up six runs on four hits. He was given a no-decision. Pitcher Mason Morris of Unionville, Mo. came out of the bullpen to earn the win in relief. Morris pitched three innings, gave up two runs on three hits, and struck out eight. Pitcher Mason Kates of Lee's Summit, Mo. earned the save. Kates pitched one inning, struck out three, and walked one.
