Jade Perry, Assistant Women's Basketball

Bio

Jade Perry is in her third season as the assistant women’s basketball coach at State Fair Community College. SFCC finished the 2018-2019 season 7-18. She helped the Lady Roadrunners to a 14-17 record and an appearance in the Region 16 tournament semifinal round in 2017-2018.

Perry comes from State University of New York at Canton where she was the head women’s basketball coach from May 2016 to March 2017. Perry led her team to the most individual accolades in school history at that time.

She was an assistant coach at Albright College in Reading, Pennsylvania, from October 2014 to May 2016. Her team achieved a 48-11 record in her two seasons there.

From August 2013 to May 2014, Perry served as a graduate assistant basketball coach at Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska. From 2011 to 2013, she was the head basketball coach at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Day School in the District of Columbia where she led her team to an undefeated season. Perry earned St. Patrick’s Coach of the Region in 2012.

Perry had an outstanding career as a student-athlete at the University of Maryland where she helped her team to an NCAA National Championship in 2006. She was named Most Improved Player that season and earned second-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference tournament honors. She earned Honorable Mention All-Atlantic Coast Conference Defensive Team in 2006 and earned the University of Maryland Senior Award in 2008 along with many other awards throughout her career.

Perry played high school basketball at Muhlenberg North High School in Greenville, Kentucky. In 2016 she was inducted into the Muhlenberg County Athletic Hall of Fame.

The Central City, Kentucky, native earned her bachelor’s in Family Science from the University of Maryland in 2008. She is pursuing a master’s degree in Education from Midland University.
