SFCC softball players earn academic award

Three Lady Roadrunners softball players recently earned the Easton NFCA Scholar Athlete Award.

Sydnee Cotter, Mariah Voitl and Madison Harris each received the honor, which is presented by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

"As a program, we discuss the importance of academics all of the time," said Lady Roadrunners Softball Head Coach Lyndsey Talbot.

Student-athletes had to maintain a minimum 3.5 cumulative grade point average to receive the award. All three players also received an NJCAA academic award earlier this year.

"I'm excited for Sydnee, Mariah and Madison to be rewarded for their hard work in the classroom," said Talbot.
